operates on the solid basis of over 30 years experience, encompassing
the HVAC air filtration, surgical masks, and process engineering
industries. Irema was established in Ireland in 1986, through a
technology transfer agreement with Irema GmbH.
By expanding product offerings from the original singular line
of surgical face masks into HVAC filter media for manufacturers
of finished air filters, the company has experienced continued strong
growth. Strong growth has also continued in our original surgical
masks business, making us one of the highest volume manufacturing
plants for surgical and respirator masks in the world.
Producing fine polymer filtration media, Irema is a leading manufacturer
in the HVAC air filter industry, making the traditional glass fibre
materials a thing of the past with its nonwoven meltblown media
Micro 2000 Plus.
Micro 2000 Plus is the ideal synthetic filtration media for the
production of finished filters such as bag filters and panel filters,
giving maximum efficiency. Our unique process results in a finished
filtration fabric that exhibits significant strength advantages,
and improved particle filtration performance over rival processes.

Where to find us:
The company owns a 50,000 sq. ft. facility in Kilmallock, close
to Limerick City and Shannon Airport in the southwest of Ireland.
